HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
The Ancient Order of Druids was founded as a friendly society in London in 1781. They adopted Masonic rites and were introduced in the United States in 1833. In 1872 the order established itself in Germany.
SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
The collection consists of two volumes of minutes for Franklin Grove 10 of the order, based in St. Louis, Missouri. They are in German and a translation is available for some of the minutes.
